David M. English O.D., President
As a leader in the Laser Vision Correction arena, Dr. English has counseled many patients through the life changing experience of laser surgery. He had the procedure done 11 years ago, and has been able to offer real life answers to the questions patients may have. As the owner and president of Family Eyecare North, he has been active in the Western PA Optometric Society, and State Chairman for Vision USA, a charitable program for local residents who have no means to obtain quality eye care. In offering full exams, contact lens evaluations, pediatric analysis and geriatric care, he has built a complete vision center. He graduated with a BS in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh before continuing his education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He and his family reside in Forward Township. |

Timothy J Smicker OD, Associate
Dr Smicker, his wife (who is also an optometrist) and their three children moved back to this area from Arizona. Orginally the Smicker's had their own practice in Erie, PA. Dr Smicker graduated with a BS from IUP before graduating from the PA College of Optometry with Academic Honors. Kay Davidson, Paraoptometric, Front Desk
Joining Family Eyecare North in 1989, Kay has answered phones, assisted doctors, pre-tested and helped patients choose the perfect frames for their glasses. Patients feel at home as soon as they come through the door when Kay welcomes them while gathering the all important background and insurance information that goes along with full scope eye care. Amy Lazzo, Medical Manager
Joining our staff in 1992 part time, Amy has worked her way through our office at front desk, pretesting and optical. Now managing the medical side of our practice full time, she can answer just about any question you may ask her. Taking care of the accounts receivable, accounts payable and making sure your insurance claims get paid correctly keeps her busy. Amy loves working with our staff and patients. She shares her home in Valencia with her husband and two children.

Pat Morrissey, Pretesting
Paraoptometric Pat Morrissey has been performing the all important pre-tests that set a baseline for the quality eye exam offered at Family Eyecare North. She operates the visual fields analyzer and Optos® retinal mapping equipment needed for detailing glaucoma and retinal defects. Our patients find Pat's expertise and attention as part of a full vision evaluation to be informative and professional. Lynn Meyers, LPN Scribe
After serving the community in the field of nursing for many years, Lynn Meyers, a licensed practical nurse, decided to take on a whole new realm of the health care field. Joining Family Eyecare North in 2002, she became an integral part in the quality care you receive in our office. Lynn not only scribes for Dr. English in the exam rooms, but also handles visual fields, the prescriptions that are phoned into your pharmacy and the letters exchanged with your PCP. A great addition to our team , Lynn and husband Rick, both life long residents of this area, live in the Zelienople area.

Tammy Kerchner, Pretesting
Joining our team in 2001, Tammy worked in The Optical Showcase and has since moved into the medical part of our office. With many years experience in eye health and fashion, you can count on Tammy to help take care of your eye health needs. You will meet Tammy right after you check in with Kay, she will get your ready to see our doctors by taking your health history and optomap testing.
Tammy has been a life long resident of the Mars area.

Denise Stevens, Laser Vision Correction Coordinator
Denise has counseled hundreds of patients through the life changing process of Laser Vision Correction. When asked for her thoughts, Denise said "Our success rate has been so high because of the care we take to answer all the patient's questions and our doctors don't just recommend LASIK for everyone.
